Join us for an Invasive Plant Biocontrol and ID walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve on June 19th at 10am!

Tansy Ragwort and Purple Loostestrife are both invasive plants. However, over the past fifty years, efforts by land managers and the Province if BC have been reuniting these plants with their native enemies - These are called Biocontrol agents, our insect friends!

We will be going for a walk to look for some of these biocontrol agents, their presence and feeding damage. If you'd like to join us for this walk and talk, email info@fviss.ca. Hope to see you there!
