Chilliwack River Knotweed Walk

Chilliwack River - Knotweed Walk
Did you know - Invasive Knotweed has been spreading throughout the Chilliwack-Vedder River!
Join us for a walk along the Rotary Trail and learn more about this invasive plant, how to identify it, and its impacts to our local environment. We'll also be able to hear about ongoing Knotweed research from Trinity Western University's The Knotweed Lab and other study work that has been happening in the river since the 2021 Atmospheric River flooding events!
Our meeting location/starting point will be at the Peach Park parking lot. We will then have a walk along the Rotary trail until the Lickman Vedder parking lot, stopping at various points to see and learn about the plants, before returning back to Peach Park.
Come join us for this leisurely stroll. Remember to dress for the weather and bring water if it will be a hot day!
Space is only limited to 25 people! Register today!
