If you pull out Tansy Ragwort on your property, we will come pick up your bags for disposal!

Tansy ragwort is flowering right now, but as it goes to seed, it will be important to dispose of the plants properly to ensure the seeds do not spread. Unlike the stems or leaves, seeds may not decompose easily in industrial composting facilities. Never dispose invasive plants in your home composter!

This year, we're letting residents know when we plan to be in your neighbourhood to help pickups be more efficient. But you will still need to let us know if you have bags for us to pick up!

 

We plan to be in your neighbourhood on these dates:

Week of Aug 5 - East Chilliwack/Rosedale, Sumas Prairie/South Sumas

Week of Aug 11 - Cultus/Columbia Valley

Week of Aug 18 - Mt Lehman/Bradner, Matsqui, West Abbotsford

Week of Aug 25 - Hatzic/Dewdney to Deroche (North of Fraser)

 

How to request a pickup:

1. Email us at pickup@fviss.ca with:
2. your name
3. your address
4. how many bags for pick-up
5. phone number to call if issues arise
